Imagine the see saw. A very simple yet unique piece of equipment. The interesting part of this equipment is balance. Both ends require balance on a pinpoint support.

Do you know the degree you are on? Customer service teams often fail due to the lack of balance not just among their teams, but within themselves. We all have preconceived ideas of what defines a customer, however if we follow the truest of definitions, we learn a deeper level and need of what it means to understand each one.

Knowing the how-to balance is critical in keeping the balance along that long smooth plank, balanced on that center support. No skills come at birth; we must “learn” how to do everything. The process of learning continues until our finial days, hours and minutes.

When hiring new staff, we must empower them to be ready to meet these understandings and challenges with the right mindset and confidence to meet the day.

The joy of a simple ride of just going up and down talking and laughing with a friend on the other side balances our life and brings in the joy we need to balance us.
